What is Astrology?

Throughout time man has studied the stars and planets, attempting to understand the effect they had on their lives. In fact, it is said the 3 wise men were astrologers of their time, who foretold the birth of Jesus. As in any profession there are many poseurs, who have sullied astrology’s reputation. For starters, sun sign astrology does not work. It’s ridiculous to assume that you can divide all humanity by 12 and categorize all people. Man is much too complex. Therefore, an astrological chart makes sense.

True, there is no scientific basis for astrology nor is there any proof that the movement or cycles of the planets have any particular effect on our lives. On the other hand, anyone who works with the public, (i.e. police, emergency, hospital, etc.) will confirm that the busiest week of the month occurs in the full moon.

An astrological chart is drawn up based on the date (month, day, year), recorded time, and place of birth. Therefore, the clock is frozen, and the chart is a map of the heavens at the moment of birth. Every planet is significant and has its function. In some instances the personality exhibits none of the traits of the sun sign, because other factors may impact the chart. A chart can be drawn for every entity, be it human being, animal, city, country, etc. A chart can also be erected for the date and time of an event to further understand its significance.

No astrological chart is identical; i.e. sun, moon and planets are never in the same place at the same time. Therefore, each chart is unique and the patterns revealed never occurs again in time.
This blog attempts to describe the standout planets or signs that characterize personality traits in these famous individuals, and further explain astrological interpretation.
