Romain Virgo has had a meteoric rise to success over the past 12 years. After winning a local talent contest while still in high school, Donovan Germain of Penthouse records quickly recognized his talent and launched his recording career in 2007. Songs like Mi Caan Sleep, Wanna Go Home and Live My Life became immediate hits on the reggae charts, and an album was soon available on VP records in 2010. If things weren't moving fast enough, a US tour with Capleton and Munga helped propel his career to another level, whereupon he became an international star.
