Ken Boothe began his music career in the early 1960s recording for producers like Coxsone Dodd, Duke Reid, and Leslie Kong. Influenced by American soul singers Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, and The Temptations, he had a penchant for voicing crossover hits from that era. In the process, he created a catalog of Jamaican-style classics. With songs like 'Artibella' 'The Train Is Coming', and 'Everything I Own' it's no surprise that he has earned the title of 'Mr. Rock Steady’.
